SCHLOSS Roxburghe works best as a longer country-estate Spa & Golf stay. The wellness proposition has a strong outdoor identity, while the golf course and practice facilities provide enough depth for golfers to build the trip around play rather than simply adding a round to a spa weekend.

Outdoor-led spa

The spa combines a large relaxation area with the outdoor heated infinity pool, hot tub, cold plunge and contrasting sauna experiences. The outdoor setting is the defining feature and gives the spa a stronger sense of place than a conventional hotel pool-and-sauna setup.

The fitness suite supports active recovery, while the spa’s long opening day gives resident guests flexibility around tee times.

ESPA treatments

Current treatments use ESPA products and are available to guests aged 16 and over. The menu is built around relaxation, massage and restorative face and body therapies, making it practical for both classic spa days and post-round recovery.

Championship golf

The 18-hole Roxburghe Championship Golf Course opened in 1997 and was designed by Dave Thomas. The routing runs through woodland and alongside the River Teviot. Practice facilities include a Toptracer driving range, short-game area and pro shop.

For a balanced two-night break, play on the full day and keep the final morning flexible for spa time, practice or a shorter estate activity rather than compressing every element into one schedule.

The resort combines hotel accommodation, cottages, restaurants and outdoor activities across the Scottish Borders estate. That breadth makes it particularly well suited to couples or groups splitting time between golf, spa and countryside experiences.
