Spa and thermal facilities
The spa centres on a 20-metre heated indoor pool. Its thermal facilities include a Himalayan salt sauna, steam room, laconium cabin, experience showers, ice fountain and heated relaxation beds, with separate quiet areas for time between treatments.
There are ten treatment rooms, including three rooms designed for couples. The current treatment menu is led by ESPA rituals, massage and skin therapies. Some additional thermal experiences, including the Rasul mud room, are attached to spa days or packages rather than ordinary hotel use, so check what is included before booking.
Golf and the wider stay
The resort’s Old Course is an 18-hole layout extending beyond 7,000 yards from the back tees. A separate nine-hole, par-three course offers a shorter alternative. Practice provision includes a Toptracer driving range, short-game areas and a PGA Academy.
Formby Hall has 76 bedrooms. Its position works particularly well for travellers who want spa recovery and golf in the same stay, although the scale and sporting focus make it feel more like a resort than an intimate retreat.
Best suited to travellers combining a golf break with straightforward pool, thermal and treatment time.

- Access to every thermal area is not automatically included with every room or leisure booking.
