Shrigley Hall Hotel and Spa

Peak District edge · timed spa sessions, indoor and outdoor water, a landscape-facing infinity pool and estate golf in a country-house setting.

The Gold Collection view

Shrigley Hall is a distinctive Spa & Golf stay because its spa access is deliberately session-based rather than an unlimited hotel leisure add-on. The outdoor infinity pool gives the wellness side real identity, while the golf course and countryside setting make the property more than a treatment-led overnight stop.

BAZAAR Spa

The landscape-facing outdoor infinity pool is the defining feature, supported by an indoor pool, whirlpool and thermal spaces. Access is pre-booked, including for hotel residents, so the spa experience needs to be planned rather than assumed as part of every room rate.

The minimum age for spa and pools is currently 16 when accompanied by an adult, while treatments are for guests aged 18 and over.

Treatments & recovery

Shrigley Hall announced a move to TEMPLESPA treatments from 1 October 2026. Because treatment branding and menus can change around transition dates, check the live menu for the exact date of your stay.

Treatment-only bookings do not necessarily include spa-facility access. Book the spa session separately where required.

Golf on the estate

The golf course adds a genuine active dimension to the stay and works naturally with a timed spa session after play. As with the spa, tee times should be confirmed in advance rather than left until arrival.

For mixed-interest couples, the simplest plan is usually golf and spa in parallel during the day, then shared dining and country-house time afterwards.

The wider stay

The hotel lists 154 bedrooms and sits on the edge of the Peak District, making it practical for walking, golf and spa-led short breaks. The surrounding landscape gives the outdoor pool and golf experience a stronger sense of place than a conventional urban hotel spa.

Practical planning

Spa access, treatments and golf can all require separate reservations. Guests with mobility requirements should discuss pool access before booking because steps are involved in reaching some wet facilities.
